Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal data we process when you join the Voxel waitlist, why, and the rights you have. We keep it deliberately minimal — the waitlist collects as little as possible.
1. Who is responsible (Controller)
The controller for the data described here is Eternal Creations UG, Marthastraße 16, 24114 Kiel, Germany — email hi@eternalcreations.games. Full company details are in our Impressum.
2. What we collect
When you join the waitlist we collect only:
- your email address;
- an optional segment you may select (“Creator / Studio” or “Brand / Agency / IP holder”);
- a source tag (
teaser) recording where you signed up.
Nothing else — no account, no profile, no behavioural tracking, and no data beyond what you type into the form.
3. Why we process it, and the legal basis
We process your email address and optional segment for one purpose only: to operate our pre-launch waitlist and to notify you when Voxel launches. The legal basis is your consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, which you give by submitting the sign-up form. Your consent is voluntary and you may withdraw it at any time with effect for the future — every email we send contains a one-click unsubscribe link. Withdrawing your consent does not affect the lawfulness of any processing carried out before the withdrawal.
4. Who processes the data (and transfers to the USA)
We share your data only with the processors that make the waitlist function, each bound by a data processing agreement:
- Loops (Loops, Inc., USA) — our email/audience platform, which stores your email address and segment.
- Vercel (Vercel Inc., USA) — hosting, the serverless function that forwards your sign-up to Loops, and privacy-friendly, cookieless page-view analytics (see section 5).
Both processors are located in the United States. Where personal data is transferred to the USA, the transfer is safeguarded by the EU Standard Contractual Clauses (Art. 46 GDPR) and/or the processor's certification under the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework, together with the data processing agreements we have concluded with each provider. You may request a copy of the relevant safeguards using the contact details above.
5. Cookies & analytics
This site sets no cookies. Your theme preference is stored locally in your
browser (localStorage) and never leaves your device. Fonts are self-hosted.
To understand how the site is used, we use Vercel Web Analytics (provided by
Vercel Inc.) to count aggregate page views. It is privacy-friendly by design:
it uses no cookies and no localStorage, sets no persistent
identifier on your device, does not collect personal data that identifies you,
and does not track you across other websites or build a profile of you. The
analytics script and its measurement requests are served from our own domain
(/_vercel/insights/…), not a separate third-party tracking domain; Vercel
processes the resulting anonymous, aggregated usage data on our behalf as a processor (see
section 4). No advertising or cross-site tracking takes place.
We use this analytics only to measure aggregate page views and understand how the site is used. The applicable legal basis under the GDPR (and any related requirements) is currently being finalised. [REVIEW: legal basis pending confirmation with a lawyer / e-recht24.]
6. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and objection (Art. 21), and to withdraw your consent at any time (Art. 7(3)). To exercise any of these, contact hi@eternalcreations.games — the fastest way to remove your data is the unsubscribe link in any email from us. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data-protection supervisory authority, in particular in the EU member state of your residence, place of work, or the place of the alleged infringement.
7. How long we keep it
We retain your email address and segment only as long as necessary for the waitlist: until Voxel launches and we have sent the launch notification, or until you withdraw consent, unsubscribe, or request deletion — whichever comes first. If the launch does not proceed, we delete the waitlist data within a reasonable period and no later than 24 months after collection.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the product and our processors evolve. The current version always lives at this URL, with the “Last updated” date above reflecting the latest revision.
